Hi Tech Composites concealment products are intended to serve as an architectural camouflage for antenna sectors for equipment that is not appealing to the general public or which may be required by the local and regulatory agencies. While the RF transparent materials and construction serves the Telecom wireless industry, there are many other areas where concealment is effective. Concealing utilities (i.e., generators, HVAC equipment, electrical panels/conduits, etc.) are just some of the areas that find application. These non-metallic materials are not subject to corrosion, therefore provide years of maintenance free service.
HTCS maintains an extensive inventory of both structural and shrouding FRP components allowing HTCS customers the advantage of prompt turnarounds on orders. Our structural inventory includes angle, channel, tube, wide flange beam, flat sheet (both pultruded & HLU), and hardware, all in various sizes and lengths. FRP components are corrosion resistant, non-conductive, and lightweight but strong enough for most requirements. Our products are all approved plastics considered ‘self-extinguishing” per the ASTM D635 test and are Class 1 FR. This is extremely helpful in Title 19 buildings where the local Fire Departments are required to approve the plans relating to plastic screening or in cities with more stringent building codes. Also in jurisdictions that require LARR approval, the use of HLU panels in larger than 4’ x 8’ sheets reduces the installation labor costs for the contractor.
RF Transparency and Quality of Construction
RF Transparent materials for a virtually unaffected signal to pass from the RF transmitter out to its intended broadcast area, our transparent materials are light weight, durable, and strong. FRP construction utilizes fire retardant resin with the addition of a UV absorber and/or protective exterior polyurethane paint.
