Concealment shrouds shall be a model ‘BatWing’ or standard shroud as manufactured by Hi-Tech Composite Structures.  Shrouds shall be fully accessible when opened and offer a full 360-degree azimuth range with no interference when closed. FRP construction shall utilize HTCS fire retardant resin with the addition of UV absorber and/or protective exterior polyurethane paint.

FRP shrouds shall be ¼” thick and manufactured from a continuous circular mold and the part(s) shall not contain any secondary bonding so as to avoid any unevenness in matching of doors and skirts. Unit shall be RF transparent. Manufacturer shall have certification of RF Insertion Loss and RF Reflection loss testing and provide results to owner if requested.

Radomes

Concealment shrouds shall be a model ‘BatWing’ or standard shroud as manufactured by Hi-Tech Composite Structures (HTCS; PO Box 609; Redmond, OR 97756; 541-548-0812). Shrouds shall be fully accessible when opened and offer a full 360-degree azimuth range with no interference when closed. FRP construction shall utilize HTCS fire retardant resin with the addition of UV absorber and/or protective exterior polyurethane paint.

FRP shrouds shall be skirts. Unit shall be RF transparent. Manufacturer shall have certification of RF Insertion Loss and RF Reflection loss testing and provide results to owner if requested.

Mounting brackets shall be of aluminum construction with stainless steel hardware in places of non-interference. Closures and fasteners, which are in and/or in close proximity to RF azimuth range, shall be non-Ferris and of HTCS design. Units shall come fully assembled for quick erection and installation by field contractor
